Founded
ELM Global Logistics was founded in Brentwood, New York with a single 40,000 sq. ft. warehouse. The facility featured six loading docks, two rail doors, and served one customer with a team of just three employees.
1984
Expansion
Expanded operations by adding an additional 84,000 sq. ft. within the Brentwood complex, increasing capacity to support a growing customer base.
1990
Growth
Added another 150,000 sq. ft. of warehouse space, bringing the total footprint to 274,000 sq. ft. During this period, ELM expanded its service offerings to include transportation solutions.
2001
Milestone
Completed the acquisition of the remaining 275,000 sq. ft. within the Brentwood complex, bringing the total facility size to over 550,000 sq. ft. By this time, ELM served more than 200 customers, operated 75 loading docks and 13 rail doors, and employed over 100 team members.
2011
Expansion
Expanded into Burlington, New Jersey, adding 165,000 sq. ft. to support continued growth and strengthen service throughout the Northeast.
2012
Enhancement
Enhanced capabilities with food-grade certifications and temperature-controlled warehousing, allowing ELM to support the specialized requirements of food and pharmaceutical customers.
2017
Expansion
Opened a second New York facility in Central Islip, adding another 165,000 sq. ft. of warehouse space and increasing operational capacity across Long Island.
2018
Milestone
Surpassed 1 million sq. ft. of warehouse space across New York and New Jersey. The company grew to more than 175 employees and served over 300 customers throughout the region.

Certification
Further expanded compliance and specialized warehousing capabilities by obtaining SQF certification and licensing to warehouse alcoholic beverages, reinforcing ELM’s commitment to quality, safety, and regulated industries.
